My all-time favorite book on worship. If you want to understand what covenant has to do with our worship and who is serving who in the worship service, THIS IS THE BOOK! Read it thoughtfully and carefully.

Danny is a serious student of the history and theology of Reformed worship. This is an excellent little book that walks the uninitiated through Reformed liturgy.
-
Fine essays from a fine scholar. A very enjoyable read for any serious student of worship and the church.

I highly recommend this book for those new to the study of worship. This book arises from adult Sunday school classes that Hart and Muether taught. Great stuff and very accessible. We use this as one of the required books for the 11th and 12th grade catechism class at Christ URC.

A collection of essays on worship from the likes of Ligon Duncan, Godfrey, Horton, Terry Johnson, Hughes Oliphant Old, and others in honor of James Montgomery Boice. Topics range in everything from family worship to Calvin's understanding of corporate worship. There is some great stuff here for the student of worship.

Godfrey makes some great points about why we do what we do in worship. A helpful little book.

Another Horton classic. Mike explains how ancient Gnosticism has a grip on modern evangelicalism and how that applies to worship. This is an excellent book.
