URC Missionary to the Philippines visits Christ URC
We are privileged to have Rev. Nollie Malabuyo with us this Lord's Day as a guest to our adult Sunday school class. Rev. Malabuyo will give a presentation on the state of God's kingdom in the Philippines and his work as a missionary. Rev. Malabuyo is a graduate from Westminster Seminary California, a native Filipino, and recently ordained by the URC in Walnut Creek, CA to be a missionary to his native country. This will be a good opportunity to hear how the Gospel is spreading and disciples are being made in other parts of the world.

Great to hear of fellow seminarian, and now Reverend, Malabuyo's missionary efforts! I am eagerly anticipating Nollie's presentation of his work to spread the gospel Christ in the Philippines!

If that photo is an example of how the gospel transforms the world I hereby renounce any and everything I have said about the two-kingdoms doctrine. Please come and transform southwest Michigan as soon as you can, preferrably before November sets in.
Zrim,
Actually that is San Diego. The first house on the right is mine, the next one to the left is Horton's, the next one belongs to the chairman of our Consistory, and the furthest on the left is vacant, waiting for you to make the move to San Diego and Christ URC. ;-)
"Furthest to the left?" Wouldn't that be Stellman's place?
You've heard that joke about the guy who comes across a desert island and finds a man and three huts? He asks the man what the huts are.
"The first is my home, and the one in the middle is my church."
"What's the third one?"
He looks down, kicks some dirt between his bare feet and sheepishly says, "That's the church I used to go to."
Actually, I think it's where the Kauai Reformation Church meets for worship :)
Zrim,
Stellman's house is so far left that it couldn't make it into the picture. Besides, it wasn't much to look at, being a tiny state-issued box and all.
When we were assigned to Davao City for five years, we once attempted to invade this Pearl Farm Resort just off downtown, but were repelled by the lack of firepower of our checking account. Short of checkbook firepower, we frequented a much more rustic place appropriately called "Paradise Beach Resort." You're all welcome to help sweat it out (literally) in transforming one of these huts into place where RPW is observed. Actually, Davao City is a 1.5 hours flight from where we are (Metro Manila).
