On the Sacraments

cup2.jpgSince we have begun the section of the Heidelberg Catechism on the sacraments in our evening services, I thought this post by PCA minister Wes White (which you may have seen referenced yesterday on the Heidelblog) would be helpful to our congregation. For many of us who came out of modern evangelical churches, the sacraments (as well as ecclesiology in general) may still seem to be a rather indifferent or impractical thing for the Christian life, even though we celebrate weekly communion at Christ URC. May God help us to see the great value in these holy signs and seals he has appointed for the nourishment of our faith.
