Here's some of what's going on at Christ URC in 2008:

Public Means of Grace:

Word and Sacrament, every Lord's Day at 9.30am and 6.00pm.

Wednesday Night Study in Theology
(each class runs for six consecutive Wednesdays)

Feb 6 - Mar 12, topic: Shadows of Christ in the Old Covenant

May 7 - June 11, topic: Evangelism

Sep 10 - Oct 15, topic: The Life and Theology of John Owen

Nov 5 - Dec 17, topic: "The Covenant Theology Class"

The Three Forms of Unity Class
(A twelve-week class in which one reads through the Three Forms of Unity [the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort] and gets an introduction to Reformed theology and the beliefs of Christ URC. Required for membership at Christ URC, but can also be taken by members as a "refresher" course, or by non-members who want to learn more.)

This class will be offered three times this year:

Spring: January 31 - May 15, Thursday nights, 7pm-8.15pm

Summer: June 1 - August 31, Sundays after the morning service, 11.15am-12.30pm

Fall: Sep 11-Dec 11, Thursday nights, 7pm-8.15pm

Special Worship Services:

Good Friday Service - Friday, March 21, 7.00pm

Ascension Service - Thursday, May 1, 7.00pm

Thanksgiving Service - Thursday, November 27, 10.00am

Service of Lessons and Carols - Wednesday, Christmas Eve, 6.00pm 

Other Happenings:

Ladies' Prayer & Fellowship - 2nd Saturday of every month, 9.00am (we are reading through J.I.Packer's classic, Knowing God)

Officer Training - 10 weeks during August-October (exact dates and times TBA)

Annual Congregational Meeting - Monday, November 10 at 7.00pm

When does the belgic class begin? Tonight?

I noticed some mention of recording the WNTS, but cannot locate any of those subject studies on the Web site. Are some or all available somewhere on the site or from the church? Thanks.
