What does John Owen have in common with Led Zeppelin?

In theology, not much. But tell me that Led Zep's renowned guitarist Jimmy Page doesn't bear some resemblance to the seventeenth century Puritan in looks! A case could probably be made that these "twins separated at birth" (and separated by about 330 years!) are both England's greatest: Owen, the greatest theologian England ever produced, and Page the greatest guitarist. But whether or not you buy that thesis, you can't deny the looks are pretty close!

Well, Page must be around 60 years old today. Maybe he can give us an idea of what Owen looked like at that age!

Page is also infamous for being a scholar of the Law Thalema (Alister Crowley). You could say he's John Owen's evil doppelganger.

See, it's all coming together...

Now, if we could just get Page to read a few pages of Owen's vol.V...
